Ice cream@Island Creamery

@Bukit Timah Rd
This is another nice place for ice cream that has different local flavors that you don't normally find in the common ice cream joints. This is at Island Creamery where they serve homemade ice cream with flavors such as cendol, Teh Tarik, Horlicks, Milo, kahlua latte, etc. I would strongly recommend the kahlua latte, cendol and pulut hitam.

Getting there: get on to Bukit Timah road and head towards Farrer road. This is located just at the turning into Farrer Road.

Ice cream@U.D.D.E.R.S

@Goldhill Plaza Rd, opposite United Square shopping mall
Also a nice place for home made ice cream. Something similar to Iceland Creamery. They also boast local flavors that you don't normally find in other ice cream joints - tried the espresso which was strong in coffee flavor and the rum and raisin - which actually had rum in it!!!

Jln Sultan Prawn Mee@Jalan Ayer

@Jalan Ayer
Well, don't expect the Penang prawn Mee type where the soup is red with chili flavor. This one has just the prawn broth without the red color chili oil. Tried this at Jln Ayer and it ws really packed on a Sat morning. You can have just the prawn Mee or add it with pork ribs. Comes with soup or dried. Folks here also go for the lobak - do expect a lot of oil though as the items are deep fried pprior to serving.

Overall not bad, for a sporean version of prawn Mee.

Prata at Mr Prata House

@Evans Road
Tis is a 24 hours Prata (roti canai) joint just near the Botanical gardens. Opened 24 hours, it boast unique pratas - italian Prata, chocolate sauce Prata, etc. I tried the masala egg thosai while my son tried the paper cheese Prata. The masala egg thosai was nice, has a potato filling while the paper Prata was really crispy with egg filing. Teh Tarik was also not bad, with strong tea flavor (vs just the condensed milk taste).
