@ Geylang Claypot Rice (Lorong 33)
When we arrived there, we were told that we had to wait 50 mins! For a claypot rice! Apparently, most customers call first before coming to the restaurant. So, since we were there, might as well wait to test out how good it was. We also ordered a steamed pork ribs in lotus leaf and fish slices sechuan style.
The claypot rice was ok lah! After waiting for 50 minutes, might as well enjoy. Only thing missing the taste of ginger as you normally would have in the Malaysia version.
The pork was really good. It was like eating a big dumpling - it has chicken feet, mushroom, pork ribs, chestnut - everything steamed and tasted nice and tender. The fish was also good, spicy and fresh. Including a vegetable dish, costs $46 (for 3 pax)
Getting there: Take a cab or drive to Geylang Lorong 33, it's just at the corner of the street. Do remember to call upfront (67444574)
